Finally!  This has been long overdue, but Mikey Marohn has finally been added to our team page, and therefore, "officially" to our team.  He's been with us for a while now, ripping around the West Coast, specifically AK, Tahoe, and Jackson Hole, filming with the Famdamly Productions team.

e stone Mikey welcome

Mikey is an well rounded shredder, killing it up in AK, then down at Superpark, and will be continuing to do so at Woodward Tahoe this summer.  Mikey's deserved this for sometime, great stuff Mikey!

Check out his team page here: http://www.homeschoolsnowboarding.com/team/Mikey-Marohn

And check out the teaser for his 2 year project with Famdamly called Until We All Fall Down (or UWAFD for short).

Patchfest is a grassroots snowboarding event just outside of South Lake Tahoe, near Kirkwood and Red Lake, that started "officially" a couple years ago.  People have been going there for years now, dating back to the 90s even.  It represents everything that is awesome about snowboarding.  It is one of a few handful of events that really represents what snowboarding is all about.  Shredding, friends, etc.  Enough with the sappy stuff though, just check the photos and see the awesome times that went down.

For more pics and updates, and even eventually an edit check out the facebook event page at:

Niko Nakamura rides like he's on fire.  Oh wait, he might be.

Being one of the first ones there meant we had to build out most of the features.

Whitney Teague and Mike Jorgensen really tired from being the first people there digging.

Jimmy Davis, test hit number one.

Jake Vert bs 3 gap.

David Mann getting that parallel method out there.  For the reverse angle check out Keith Rutherford 's photography.  Two pictures same time 180 degress was not planned out.

Camp Vibes

Niko Nakamura may be a ninja.  Here he is hiding in a tree ready for attack.

Started getting busy on Saturday when more people showed up for shred.

See?

My favorite shot, Mikey Marohn getting the pole jam rodeo around off the Echelon Snow trailer.

Mikey came with Jonathan Goggin and the Famdamily Crew getting shots for their two year film project UWAFD

Mikey wasn't getting this one around.

Jimmy Davis bs lip, or sbs lip.  The guy making the snowball is Andrew Guddat, one of the founders of this grassroots snowboarding event.  The other photog, is Keith Rutherford (mentioned earlier).

Joey Odom with the hardway bs blunt.  Can we just start calling hardway ally-oop?  It sounds better.

It took Mikey a few attempts at the Rodeo, but he's getting this one around.

This is a Gremlin.  Let's hope he doesn't fall because we all know that you can't get them wet.

Andrew Brewer showed up as well.

Myself (and no it wasn't hot in the baclava) Andrew Gudday and Joey Odom.  Patchfest buddies.

Niko did this when we lit it on fire as well.

Guns and Ammo thanks to Joey Odom.

Boom Stick Brewer.

Getting off some rounds at one tree that really deserved it with the Angry Snowboarder.

Shooting the top of a tree off like in that movie.

Yeah, we did do this.  Flaming pole jam.

Joey does his flips tip to tail, wildcat style.  This was one fire as well at one point.

'Merica!  with Johnny Lucero.  I guess guns, fire, camping, snowboarding, and drinking was enough.

Drink Water.
Thanks to:

Everyone who helped set this thing up.  All the Sponsors: Echelon Snow, Stinky Socks, angrysnowboarder.com, Local Knits, Phunkshun wear, Eternal Snow, and of course Joey and Bryan with Koalition.
